Special Meeting Notice: Victim Services On-Call/Standby Proposal
NOTICE OF MEETING
Special Membership Meeting
Monday, December 9, 2024
5:30 PM
At the Union Office.
Topic: Membership Vote on On-Call/Standby Victim Services Proposal
Purpose: To discuss and vote on a proposed amendment to Collective Agreement Article 12.23(c).
Details of the Proposal: Due to recent budget cuts, the On-Call/Standby Victim Services After-Hours Service was slated for elimination. However, members of the Victim Services team (Coordinator, Part-Time Employees, and Auxiliary Staff) have proposed a solution to preserve this critical service for the community of Mission.
The proposal involves amending the current provision in Article 12.23(c) of our Collective Agreement for the 2025 general operating budget, reducing pay for each on-call shift from 4.5 hours of straight-time pay to 2.25 hours of straight-time pay.
Why Your Attendance Matters: Your vote will determine whether the Union moves forward with the proposed Letter of Understanding (LOU). It is vital that all members participate to ensure an informed and collective decision.
